Incoming Students

Students whose primary residence is outside the English Montreal School Board (EMSB) territory but wish to attend an EMSB school:

• You can enroll your child in one of our schools through an Inter-board Agreement.
• Parents/guardians must obtain the Inter-board Agreement form by the school board of their residential territory. https://www.electionsquebec.qc.ca/en/electoral-maps/english-language-school-boards/
• Once approved by both school boards, the Agreement is valid for one academic year.
• Inter-board Agreements must be renewed annually unless another arrangement has been established.
• Parents/guardians are responsible for organizing transportation to and from the school.
  
  

Outgoing Students

Students residing within the English Montreal School Board (EMSB) territory who wish to attend a school of a different school board:

• The EMSB outgoing Inter-board Agreement form is available here.
• Please submit the completed and signed form via email to: schoolorg@emsb.qc.ca.
• EMSB will process the request and forward it to the relevant school board to complete your child’s registration file.
• Kindly note that during peak periods, the Inter-board process may require 4 to 6 weeks for completion.
• Parents/guardians will be notified only if the request is denied.
